OUR SERVICES

We are specialists in pets physiotherapy

ACPAT is the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy. A growing number of Chartered Physiotherapists now work with animals. Unlike the title ‘Veterinary Surgeon’ the title ‘Animal or Veterinary Physiotherapist’ is not protected. This means that any one can call themselves an animal or veterinary physiotherapist regardless of their qualifications. The title ‘Chartered Physiotherapist’ is protected by law and can only be used by physiotherapists who have achieved a high level of academic and practical training in all aspects of physiotherapy and are consequently qualified and registered to practice. ACPAT physiotherapists are used by the British Equestrian team and also used and endorsed by Noel Fitzpatrick (“Supervet”). Note: Legislation stipulates that animals may only be treated by a Veterinary Surgeon or someone authorised by a Veterinary Surgeon. Members of ACPAT adhere to this requirement to safeguard the interest of the animal.

Clients Testimonial

  • Bob was really struggling with his back when I first brought him to you. After a few sessions he is so much more supple, he can now bend his head round to both sides of his body which he couldn’t do before. He also is a much happier dog now!. Thank you for all your hard work and support. Bob is the one on the left.

  • Taryn is a very lively 3 year old German Shepherd who loves running and jumping. Last summer it was noticed that she was not putting all her weight on her back leg. X Rays didn’t show anything so it was suggested we see Nadia. Nadia came and worked her magic with massage and showed me some simple exercises that we could do at home to help rebuild the muscle. This worked really well and Taryn is now completely sound on that leg. She has recently been diagnosed with a movement disorder that means she is unable to coordinate her legs and walk for a few minutes. Following these attacks her back seems to go in spasm and Nadia again has come to the rescue using magnetic and light therapy and massage to enable her to move freely and without pain. Nadia’s skills are fantastic and she has such a kind and caring personality that all my dogs love her. Taryn would not be where she is now without her. She is very patient with Taryn who can be very nervous but seeing her run now you would never know she had a problem previously. I will continue to use Nadia’s expertise to maintain Taryn’s mobility.
